HOW IT WORKS:

We launched Iowa Match as a twist between matchmaking, in person & online dating.

• Join the network (we go more into detail on the approval process below)
• Registration period - during the month of May, we will accept applicants to the network
• Registration closes - once registration finishes, we will begin the matchmaking process
• Matching begins - registrants will match with (3) or more high potential matches - we’ll start with your top match & allow you to plan a date to connect. After the date, you provide feedback on how it went & if you’d like to keep seeing them or move to your next match.
• Matching closes - we can’t wait for some success stories!

• You live in Iowa
• You’re a man seeking a woman / woman seeking a man
• You’re between the age of 30-60
• You’re seeking a long term partner
• You’re single - if separated.. Your divorce must be filed
• You are open to some distance.. We will try to consider preferences for distance & match you with potential partners who live as close as possible
• You’re ready to go on dates with your matches
• You fill out the questionnaire completely
• You the registration fee (once approved)
• You agree to a background check (more details below)

TO NOMINATE A FRIEND

To nominate a friend.. Send them the questionnaire link to complete & direct them to select "nominated by a friend" with your contact info to reach out & collect payment once they're approved.

THE QUESTIONNAIRE

Our detailed questionnaire will collect detailed information about you including your full name, birth date & location. (Please note that we will NEVER share any identifying information about you with your matches aside from your first name & location) The questionnaire also includes information about you & what you are looking for in a partner. There will also be a requirement to attach 3 unfiltered photos of you including 1 full body photo. Along with that, all applicants are required to share a link for 1-2 social media sites (unless you are not on social media which you can specify on the form). We’re all about authenticity - so, be yourself!

MEET THE MATCHMAKER

Catherine Potter is a dating & authenticity coach based in Cedar Falls. She majored in Interpersonal Communication & has a background in event planning & marketing. She has always been a natural connector & launched Single Cedar Valley in 2018 which hosts singles events including mixers & speed dating events. Along with that, she has offered dating coaching courses & 1 on 1 dating coaching. Her focus is on cultivating the energy within & tuning into your desires. She encourages singles not to settle & to get clear about what they are looking for in a partner. Catherine will be working with a team to aid in the matchmaking process- more info soon about the panel!

PROCESS

Our matchmaking process will consist of matching based on data from the questionnaire as well as intuitive matching based on personality, appearance & energy. This means that the more in depth & thorough you are in the questionnaire, the more potential of highly compatible matches.

Background checks: We will conduct these via BeenVerified. We’re able to access public records information to ensure the identity of participants. This check reveals information from national, state criminal databases as well as sex offender databases, for violations. What could disqualify you? Any offenses which could indicate a threat to safety for our participants (ex: a history of violence (assault, domestic violence) or sexual offenses). It’s our priority to help screen matches for you, but we’re limited to accessible data & can’t guarantee its thoroughness.

The registration window will be open from May 2 - May 31. If we do not get a minimum of 100 women applicants & 100 men applicants (200+) we will keep the registration window open for an extended period. We will accept as even number of men & women as possible. This means, when we reach thresholds, we will temporarily close approvals for either men or women until we open up more spots. We will monitor the ages & locations of participants to ensure we stay balanced & have good representation to provide ideal matches. We will cap registration at a maximum of 1000 total participants (500 men & 500 women). If we reach 1000 registrations before May 31, we will close registration early. Once registration closes, our team will begin the matchmaking process. Matchmaking will be completed before June 20.

The matchmaking process will be conducted by our team. We will send matches via email & will copy both recipients on the message. You may respond to the email with communication to let us know how your date went & provide feedback. We will be in touch throughout the process & follow-up.
