HOW IT WORKS:

We launched Iowa Match as a twist between matchmaking, in person & online dating.

• Registration closes - once we reach the minimim, we'll begin the matchmaking process
• Matching begins - registrants will match with (3) or more high potential matches - we’ll start with your top match & allow you to plan a date to connect. After the date, you provide feedback on how it went & if you’d like to keep seeing them or move to your next match.
• Matching closes - we can’t wait for some success stories!

• You’re single - if separated.. Your divorce must be filed
• You are open to some distance.. We will try to consider preferences for distance & match you with potential partners who live as close as possible

THE QUESTIONNAIRE

Our questionnaire will collect detailed information about you including your full name, birth date & location. (Please note that we will NEVER share any identifying information about you with your matches aside from your first name & location) The questionnaire also includes information about you & what you are looking for in a partner. There will also be a requirement to attach 3 unfiltered photos of you including 1 full body photo. Along with that, all applicants are required to share a link for 1-2 social media sites (unless you are not on social media which you can specify on the form). We’re all about authenticity - so, be yourself!

Sean Adams: A trauma-informed professional with mindfulness & meditation certification, Sean creates a welcoming & supportive environment for his clients. His intuitive ability to understand people’s needs & foster authentic, lasting relationships makes him a trusted guide in the world of love.

Catherine Potter: Catherine is a dating & authenticity coach who majored in Interpersonal Communication at UNI. She has always been a natural connector & launched Single Cedar Valley in 2018 which hosts singles mixers & speed dating events. Her focus is on cultivating the energy within & getting clear about what you desire in a partner.

Linda Hutchens: Linda has a BA in Psych from UNI & a post BA degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Northwestern. She plans to blend her personal experience navigating her own happy marriage of close to 20 years with her education on personality types & interpersonal relationships to help find potential compatable partners for you.

PROCESS

Our matchmaking process will consist of matching based on data from the questionnaire as well as intuitive matching based on personality, appearance & energy. This means that the more in depth & thorough you are in the questionnaire, the more potential of highly compatible matches.

How many are signed up so far?

We are at over 125 signed up so far!

How many women vs. men are in the network?

We've had a pretty even split so far.. if one exceeds the other, we will start to cap approvals for them until we have a balance.

Are there any recurring charges after the initial investment?

No.

Will our matches see our questionnaire responses/profile?

No.. this information is private and will only be seen by the matchmakers to aid in the matchmaking process.

What ages will I be matched with?

You can indicate on the questionnaire what ages you are interested in matching with

BACKGROUND CHECKS: We will conduct these via BeenVerified. We’re able to access public records information to ensure the identity of participants. This check reveals information from national, state criminal databases as well as sex offender databases, for violations. What could disqualify you? Any offenses which could indicate a threat to safety for our participants (ex: a history of violence (assault, domestic violence) or sexual offenses). It’s our priority to help screen matches for you, but we’re limited to accessible data & can’t guarantee its thoroughness.

The registration window will be open until we meet the minimum of 250 applicants (125 men & 125 women). We will accept as even number of men & women as possible. This means, when we reach thresholds, we will close approvals for either men or women until we open up more spots. We will monitor the ages & locations of participants to ensure we stay balanced & have good representation to provide ideal matches. We will cap registration at a maximum of 1000 total participants (500 men & 500 women). Once registration closes, our team will begin the matchmaking process. The matchmaking process will take up to 3 weeks.

The matchmaking process will be conducted by our team. We will send matches via email & will copy both recipients on the message. You may respond to the email with communication to let us know how your date went & provide feedback. We will be in touch throughout the process & follow-up.
